Andrew Schmidt
Andrew Schmidt, bass, is an Atlanta-based conductor and ensemble singer and has sung for many of the country’s premier professional choirs including GRAMMY® Award-winning The Crossing, Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Kinnara, and The Thirteen. Currently, Andrew is on faculty as the Choral Director at Oxford College of Emory University and is the Founder and Artistic Director of EarlyBird, a professional chamber consort specializing in early and modern explorations of choral singing. Andrew also runs a full private piano and voice studio, serves as the Music Director of the Summer Singers of Atlanta, and is a Ph.D. candidate at Georgia State University where he is a Brain and Behaviors Fellow in the Neuroscience program.
