Nathan Dougherty
Nathan Dougherty is a tenor who specializes in early music. He has performed with numerous period and chamber ensembles, including Apollo’s Fire, Les Délices, Atlanta Baroque, The Newberry Consort, Bourbon Baroque, Trobàr, and The Thirteen. He recently completed his PhD in Musicology with an emphasis in Historical Performance Practices at Case Western Reserve University, and now works as a full-time lecturer at the University of Oklahoma where he teaches graduate seminars and directs the Collegium Musicum. His research explores late-eighteenth- and nineteenth-century French song and song cultures, delving into issues of gender, national identity, medicine, and memory.
