Sara Porjosh

Sara Porjosh is an undergraduate classical soprano studying at Carnegie Mellon University under the mentorship of Sari Gruber. Originally from Vienna, Virginia, Sara has been an active member of solo and choral performing groups in the D.C. area. She is a 2019 and 2020 winner of the American Protege Opera Aria Competition, and has previously won 1st place in the New York Lyric Opera Competition. Sara recently performed as a Soprano Soloist in Händel’s Messiah and has previously attended the 2024 Berkshire’s High Peaks Festival for Chamber Music. In addition to performing, Sara is passionate about the intersectionality of music and innovative business models and actively engages with her university to make classical music more accessible. She is excited to expand her artistry during her time as a Vocal Fellow in The Thirteen!
