Dillon Parker

Dillon Parker is a Doctor of Musical Arts candidate at the Peabody Institute of the Johns Hopkins University. Dillon served as Adjunct Lecturer of Trumpet at Penn State University during the 2023-2024 academic year.

Dillon began studying baroque trumpet in 2021 with Josh Cohen, and won Second Prize at the North American Baroque Trumpet Competition in April 2022. He has since performed with the The Thirteen, Washington Bach Consort, Seraphic Fire, Bach Akadamie Charlotte, and the Ottawa Bach Choir.
 
During his coursework at the Peabody Institute, Dillon studied modern trumpet with Anthony Prisk of the Philadelphia Orchestra while presenting solo recitals and playing principal trumpet in the Peabody Conductors’ Orchestra. Before moving to Baltimore, Dillon played in various Los Angeles orchestras including American Youth Symphony and Debut Orchestra. He also taught in underserved communities as a Teaching Artist with the Young Musicians Foundation.
 
Dillon holds a Master of Music degree from California State University, Long Beach and a Bachelor of Music degree from University of North Dakota, where he was named a Theodore Presser Undergraduate Scholar in 2014.
